When you face challenges in life it’s useful to have a wide toolbox to help you. Art and creative expression provide an easy-to-use set of tools to explore issues. And you may even have fun using them, which in itself can help you overcome adversity.

Who Should Attend?

There is no need to have any previous experience of using the arts to attend but a curiosity to explore and a willingness to try something new is welcomed.

What Will We Cover?

We will discuss the power of art and creative expression and how it helps us to get to know ourselves. We will do ‘a taster’ of one/ two short exercises where you will be invited to engage in an activity, draw/ write and share your experience. You will learn how creative expression can help to heal anxiety, stress, low self- esteem, relational problems, loss and many more issues.

Your Guide - Angela Haren MA HCPC

Angela is an art psychotherapist who believes in the value of art in helping us to express what words fail to do. She completed a masters in London at the Institute of Art Psychotherapy and Education (IATE) and has been accredited by Health Care Professional Council (HCPC) UK.

Angela has an undergraduate qualification working with children and adolescents using the arts with British Association of Art Therapy (BACP). She is also a member of the British Association of Art Therapy (BACP)

Angela has her own practice working in Brussels with children, adolescents and adults. She has experience working with individuals and groups promoting personal growth through good mental health practice.
