What Learning Essentials is 

Learning Essentials is a three-hour live online workshop — the direct follow-on from the Leading People Café. It takes the five learning challenges revealed in the Café and turns them into a practical design framework you can apply in your own organisation. 

It builds on the foundations of training transfer research (including the 12 Levers framework I’m certified in) and integrates the Brain-Based Design principles I’m certified in through the NeuroLeadership Institute. 

It runs once — in September 2026, as part of the September cohort. Cohort size is capped to keep the live interaction quality high.

About Gerry Murray

Most leadership experts have never performed in front of thousands. Gerry has — as a professional musician on stages from intimate clubs to festival crowds, while simultaneously holding management roles. That combination — performer, manager, researcher — makes his work distinctive.

He translates how the brain actually works into practical tools for leaders, drawing on ongoing research and conversations with leading thinkers. He has delivered programmes for major EU institutions and global organisations, and hosts the Leading People Podcast. Since 2023, he has run workshops on adult learning for senior professionals — the research behind Learning Essentials.
